Clinic Fees

You will be advised of consulting fees when your appointment is scheduled. Please ensure that either you or your doctor has sent the referral (fax, email, post or hand-delivered), as a referral must be received prior to scheduling your appointment. Once we have received the referral, clinic staff will call to set up the time of your initial consultation. Please note: a doctor’s referral is only required if you wish to receive the Medicare rebate.

Discounts will apply for concession card holders.

Accounts must be settled on the day of your appointment by credit card, cash or cheque.
Besides the consulting fees, other charges may be incurred for in-office treatments and procedures such as skin biopsies, steroid injections, freezing skin lesions, etc.

Accounts for surgeries will be issued after pathology results are made available unless the lesion has already been biopsied. For most surgeries, a gap beyond the Medicare rebate should be anticipated. This practice sets charges for most procedures at a rate higher than those found in the Medicare fee schedule yet below those recommended by the Australian Medical Association.

Private health insurance does not cover consultation fees, treatments and procedures conducted in the rooms. For privately insured patients requiring surgery, such procedures are often done at Bunbury Day Surgery (BDS). Most private health insurance providers have an agreement with BDS other than a few exceptions*. Dr Granger does not charge a gap for surgeries done at BDS.

Please call (08) 9791 4770 for appointments to all clinic locations.

*Exceptions include Medibank Private and AHM. BDS will provide the patient with a quote of the anticipated gap in such instances.
